SR5 vs. GTS for AE86

Problem Problem Problem!!!

I am doing a GTS conversion or an Automatic SR5. I have put the engine in place but the transmission mount doesn' line up. I am wondering if anyone have encounter this problem before?

I think the chassis code is different. Does that have anything to do with it? I can see that the hole for the shifter are different. Does that have to do with automatic and manual? Or is it the SR5 and GTS? Please help out.

The SR5 should have the same chassis code as the GT-S. They had to be made from the same chassis to meet safty standards here in North America.

The holes cut out for the GT-S and an Automatic SR5 for the shifters because they have to be because they have different transmissions.

But as far as weather or not they shoul line up I don't know. Try asking at Club 4AG.

Your problem is with the engine mounts and the transmission mounts.

You need the following:

• Left and right GTS engine mounts 2 x part # 12361-16010
• Left and right GTS mount stabilizers 2 x part # 12381-16010
• AE86 manual transmission mount (produced after 2/84) part # 12371-16030

These parts will line everything up properly for you.
