Strange central locking problem

OK, I have a really strange issue with my car. This all happened quite a while ago, but I havent bothered doing anything about it, and now it's bugging me.

I have a '95 Carina ED, japanese import (I'm from New Zealand), with central locking, etc. I also have installed a Dynatron D3800 alarm. Now I had never had any problems, until one day. For no good reason, my car starting locking it's doors automatically when I hit about 20km/h. It's really frustrating, because when I come to a stop, they dont unlock themselves. It's so odd, because it never did it when I first got the car, and I drove it fine for about 2 months before it started doing it. It's not an alarm feature, because my mums car has a dynatron alarm with this feature, and it doesnt happen at 20km/h, it happens as soon as the ignition is put into the 'on' position, and they unlock as soon as it's taken out of the on position.

Anyone know what is happening, and how i can stop it?

Cheers

Have you tried swapping the brain (alarm) from your moms car over to your car?

If it does the same thing, I don't know whats going on. But if it fixes your problem you probably have a faulty brain (alarm).

By the way your car looks like the gen 3 Camry's we have in the US. The rear of your car reminds me of a 240SX (S13).

It's possible that you might have inadvertantly set the car's locking logic to do that.... chk your owner's manual.... On my mum's Gen5 Camry, you can set it to automatically lock/unlock the doors when you put the car in/out of park, or do it manually, and i'm pretty sure there was another option that only locked the doors when you reached a certain speed. It is set by opening and closing the door and turning the key a certain number of times and pressing the lock button. Unlikely that you changed the settings accidentally, but a possible cause.
