newb here..got questions, need answers

hey all names ricky , i live indiana and just picked a 02 echo for a d/d but want to do some stuff to it.

i wanna put 17's on it..a k & n typhoon and exhaust (just to help it breath a lil better and sound nicer..
so i would like to know what the offset i would need for 17" x 7"
rims and what size tire (wide as possible) ive heard you can go 215-35-17..this tru?
does any one know the part # for the K & n typhoon/or where i can find it??
so what i want to know is ,where i can find a cat back/rims & cai for the echo?

thankx for any help..ricky II

one other thing i saw a carbon fiber valve cover for our car cardomain.com too (the dood wouldt email me back about it), where can i find that?

Wow... all that to an echo seems just a little bit... uhh... worthless... If your getting rims, go nitto tires, and as for carbon fiber, its worthless and looks like shit, dont bother. Just get some anodized style paint for your engine and engine bay. Thats what I've got planned for my pickup with 22re (bagging the front end in a few weeks), and my olds 88 that will soon have an lt1.

Get ur facts straight its 700 whp.

Yah, I agree with Ufoz 17's seem a lil big for that lil thing. I'd go 15's or 16's for ur echo. In my mind, 15s and 16s are like 17's and 18's for Bigger cars (camry, lexus, Mr2.. list goes on)

Why do you want wide tires? Is there a specific reason?

CAI - You can DIY (Do it yourself.)
Rims - Find out the offset then go on like Tirerack.com, Wheelsnext.com, just search for a couple of rim sites and you can find what rims you like and then see if they will fit ur car. A more tedious thing you could do is go to companies and look at all the rims they have, then look at sites that carry that specific rim.
Cat Back Exaust - Im pretty sure this you have to take to a shop and have it done custom.

I also agree, CF kind of looks gay for a valve cover, Its pointless in my mind. Get a CF hood, That looks better.

If its a daily driver, 17's are gonna be a bitch. Looks aside, you need torque to turn them, not much in the Echo. Toymaniac has a nice set of 15's with 195's on his car, they look perfect.

Any shop can get their hands on a KN filter, its in the catalogue. If you want the PN, try their website.

Email www.elementautoworks.com for a quote on the intakes and exhausts. They had a Tein coilover setup in stock the last time I was there.

And pics when you're done
