i just replaced the engine in a 92 es300 because the old one was blown... the damn thing sucks! it is acting like it did before with the old engine, it lacks power incrediby. although the old motor ran like shit and couldnt hold idle... anyways, the new motor is in and its running and everything. it lacks power. thats about all i can say.
i put new spark plugs in, i did correct ignition timing with a timing light and everything is lined up right and stuff... my thoughts are either fuel pressure is too lowwhich means either bad fuel filter, pump or injectors... prolly filter, OR i need to replace the spark plug wires and maybe distributor cap too...
anyone ever have this problem or know what i should do first... this has already been pissing me off for a week... when i just thought it was the timing... but the timing is now set correctly and its still fucked up.
Well, if it is misfiring ( bad injector, bad plugs), you'll know it for sure. It will have a really weird sound to it. Can't explain it cause it's been a while. But you will know it. Well, I don't think the wires would be the problem. Your probably right on the fuel pump. Check it out. A quick tear down and you could have it back on and cleaned out by the end of the day.

Yeah, good idea. If it is an exact take off of the 92 Camry, the cat it a bolt up. Just take it off and go for a quick run around the block (no major streets. Cops don't like that ). See how it does. Make sure to warm it up first. No car is good on a cold start.

i thought it was the exhaust at first, well at second, after i did the timing... cause it was smoking out of the exhaust... seriously smoking, like there was a mouse next or something in there i think... so i took the exhaust off up to the y pipe, no cat or anything... and it still performed the same, like no power... so its not the exhaust
im not running anything bro... i have barely driven the car, it came to me with a blown engine, the only driving ive done with it (unregistered) is down the street and back to test the power... and it sucks... so i prolly used like .25 gallon of gas, from a gas can in my garage
nobody else wants to help me out, i know somebody must know something technical!
How about the injectors? You can use a large flathead screwdriver, place the tip of it against the injector, and the handle against your ear. You should hear a clicking sound (this is the injector turning on an off).
Does the 3VZ-FE have crank position and cam position sensors?
