Does anybody have a pair? What type? I want an un-restricted ankle (low-top), and a very thin sole. Got any suggestions? I was looking at some of the Sparco shoes... I dunno, I just want something so I can do some crazy driving-footwook in.
Converse Chucks, the ultimate in driving shoes.
I usually use my Adio's for driving, but the Chucks are really comfy to drive in (you can feel the pedals almost like you're driving bare foot), only problem is, you have to tie and untie them each time you drive, which is a PITA... plus I'm lazy.
Well, if you want to feel the pedals, I drive with some 8 year-old laceless Utilities that I stole from a friend. You can literally take the shoe and bend it in half. Not much between you and the pedal.
Personally, I wear Mack boots. Only ankle high. So no ristriction. Steel toe and some mad tread. If I hit something... They would probably be the only thing to come out of it fine. $30.00 at Target

SmokingTiresV6 have you ever drove an MKII MR2? Haha, good luck trying to drive with those shoes. I wear a size 12 and I have trouble with such little space between the pedals on the MR2.
Lugz had some do not know if they still make them. Also try wrestling shoes, they are very comfy and great on the ankles. You can basically feel everything underneath you.
They start as low as $19 and that is still getting a good shoe. Nike Adidas, Converse, Asics all make wrestling shoes as well as some companies that are only know to the wrestling circuit.

Haha, Utilities, as in the brand, not a style of shoe, heh, my bad dood, I thought you were talking about fucking work boots or something! I have the Globe CT-IV's but they are blah for techincal driving, IMO.
