just checking

ok ive done a lot of looking around on this, and im just making sure it can be done, you can put a 3sge head on a fe block right? and i think (but not sure) it will lower the com. ratio?????but i dont know what it will be after, do you? and if a swap to the ge head could io then use rods and pistons out of a 3sgte, and would thgey fit the 3sfe crank??

i know this is a lot but i kinda need to know
thanks
Sean

^ Thats if your building a 5S-GTE.

I think he has a 3S-FE since he mentioned a crank from a 3S-FE.

Yes, but its not as easy as just bolting on the head. You also have to swap the ecu, wiring harness, etc...

By the way its not FE block. 3S-FE, 3S-GE, and 3S-GTE all share the same block (3S (3rd gen S block)).

F = narrow valve angle. 22 degrees.

G = wide valve angle. 45 degrees.

E = EFI (electronic fuel injection).

The cams on a G head design are independent. Whereas on a F head the intake cam drives the exhaust cam through a spider gear (on the camshafts).

I don't think so.

Comp ratio has more to do with the pistons.

Yes and yes.

But, if your gunna go through the trouble of swapping the head and internals, i'd do a 3S-GTE swap.
