Performance FWD Gear Box

I have a 1997 Toyota RAV4. 2WD, 5 Door, 5 Speed. With the 3SFE engine. Does Toyota Have a Performance Gear box that can interchange with my Gearbox. Oh, BTW, I'm going N/A, for the moment.

You can use the 3sge gearbox from the 86-89 Celica GTS. It has better gearing and stronger internals. I have it in my car and it works great. Direct bolt up.

which is the Stock number or the OEM number of that gearbox. Mine is a E250.

E Code gearboxes are the strongest Toyota makes.
Both the MR-2 and the GT4/Alltrac use E boxes to handle the power from the turbo.

These will not fit your fwd 3sfe witout modification though. Get a box froma fwd Celica that is equipped with a 3sge engine. You said you are from Puerto Rico so they should have given you a 3sge equipped Celica all the way up until the lates model came out(I beleive at least). If not then you can still use the old one like I mentioned before. I am not quite sure what the tranny code is on those but any trans used on a fwd 3sge will work for your Rav 4 and give you a stronger tranny and better gearing.

i would say look into the e153 tranny from the gen 4 camry/solara... but i dont know how it would match up with a rav... how the axles would fit in.... i dunno. i would imagine they MIGHT fit in, but not sure... i believe it will bolt on and use the same clutch and everything... since it is e series...

anyone know if the axles would fit in?
