Anything that I can do to improve the acceleration of my GEN3??

Are those octane boosters working?
If so, which one is better?

What does engine flush do?

Will I get better acceleration if I use 94 octance gasoline? big differences with 91??

How many horsepower should a V6 or 4 cyls. Camry Gen 3 have?

Does engine treatment, likes Slick 50, help my acceleration? B cox my engine has 255,000km on it.

hehe
let me stop here
I got too many questions~!

you have been watching too many commercials.

there are a few different kinds of engine flushes, but the most common one you are talking about is the one where they dump a varsol like liquid into the oil and run your engine for 20mins, then drain and then fill with oil.
this supposedly gets alot of gunk out of your engine...

higher octane gas will not do anything to your car, except make it idle smoother and perhaps give you better milage

octane boosters will do nothing on your car.

if you want to go faster in a straight line, i suggest you get a bike........

or start ripping out parts of you interior to lighten up the car.

None of them do work. If you want to try the cheap route - put some whisky on your fuel tank and see if that helps.

Flush the oil from the engine???

(I assume you have a 4-cyl.) No, because your engine is not high compression.

V6 - approx 145hp at the wheels
i4 - less than 99hp at the wheels

Don't think so.

The only fuel additive I would use is GTA fuel enhancer (www.gtatech.com). It doesn't contain harsh alcohols like most octane boosters...that stuff will eat away your fuel lines. Many of them use toluene or zylene, which is harmful to your engine.

DO NOT use Slick50 or any engine oil treatment. They can clog your oil pump.

Regular maintenance will do the most for your car...ignition, fuel, valve clearance, and a throttle body & intake manifold cleaning.

a good way to flush is during ur oil change ... use 3 quarts/ liters of oil and the last one use about half a liter of tranny fluid... it will eat up the gunk in ur car basically its like bleach but for the engine run it like that for about 2 weeks.. no hard revving... then flush completely pour one quart of oil while the oil drain is open to wash out the remains of the tranny fluid then add the oils back in... im using amsoil sythetic now but on occasion use mobil 1 or castrol syntec.

next is ur fuel filter u have about 200k on ur mileage its due time to check ur fuel filter and have ur injectors flushed!! the proper way meaning not just adding additives as stated above they are not good for ur car... u have to go to a shop that handles injectors have urs removed and give it to them to do a proper flushing ... since u have removed it change ur fuel filter as well... running a higher octane gas gives u better mileage and maintains the cleanliness of ur filter and injectors.....

ignition check ur distributor cap... for carbon deposits and etc... if it seems like its a lot.. change ur distributor cap to a new one... check ur plug wires as well and ur spark plugs these normally wear out after time...

last check ur airfilter im assuming u have a stock intake so ur stock filter might be dirty if so it will give u a sluggish performance off the line... and since u are under the hood check ur engine mounts to see that there is nothing broken.. if ur rubber on the mounts are broken due to time it will rob ur engine of power main reason is cos ur engine will move too much there by losing minor power instead of goin straight to the wheel... i hope this helps ... if u got any more questions just post up or Icq me... more than happy to help out

yup but the proportions are different

the 5sfe holds up 3.7liters of oil so technically pushing 4.. anyways that's why i say 3.5 liters of oil and half a liter of tranny fluid... cos its much thinner.. so it wont burn ur seals... or have too much engine pressure... so yeah it would depend on how much oil ur engine takes i've seen some 6 cyls take the same amount as my 4 cyl so u have to have ur own judgement on that ... but it works for all cars.. esp if u wanna do a good ass flush of ur engine
