help with 5sfe, 5sfte, 5sgte

hey a real quick question on the crankshaft balance shafts... is there a kit or way to bypass these to shafts to reduce engine drag... i was wondering if you have done this wraith during your engine rebuild or miesner or even you 88le... let me know guys it would be a great help... also wraith your not the only aem powered camry :P...

The balance shaft assembly unbolts from the bottom of the block.

Just unbolt the entire assembly and remove the shims and dowel pins.

Theres a oil passage that you'll have to plug. Tap the hole for a pipe plug.

well in reply to the aem thing i just saw you on the aem forum and i wasnt sure if you were or not...

as for the picture thanks i already ripped down the motor completly and if i plug that one oil passage will everything still run fine at lets say 6500rpms under 18psi boost or will the crank shake its self silly...

also what is the drive quality differnce noticed...

It'll be fine.

The engine will shake a little more, but I don't think it'll make that much of a difference.

Celicas with a 5S-FE don't have a balance shaft assembly.
