to my understanding, it has nothing to do with the number of cyclinders you have???

i thought it was determined by the gear ratio as well as the final drive ratio in the car

yea that's right. but i think the previous poster was saying he had a v6 cos the v6 could have possibly had different gearing. i know that Benz does this. the higher the displacement, the higher the final drive also

Well, I guess you're asking about Automatic??

Mine is about 3000 rpm at 100km/h so I'm assuming it would be around 4000rpm at 120km/h I haven't really noticed it...

depends what size tires ur running really.
my car is at around 3150 when going 100kmph. and at 120 i'm at 3550rpm. this is with 185/60R14 wheels

I guess I should be about that range! I'm running 195/60/14 in the winter and 205/40/16 in the summer, the diamater of both sets is almost the same...
