Pull #1 plug, put your finger in the hole, hand turn the engine till you feel air pressure, then line up crank pulley mark to "0" on timing tab.

Naah wont work like that, put a screwdriver into the plug hole, then rotate the engine once by hand, and put mark where the screwdriver reaches the highest point, rotate again and stop where the highest point is.

I found how to install cam position sensor

The cam position sensor takes the place of a ditributor on my supra turbo. You adjust your timing with it just like you would on a distributor. Since theres no rotor or cap with wires to line up to plug wire #1 @ TDC, you must line up a drilled out notch on the lower gear with a notch on the spline at the base of the sensor body. Install it while at TDC. The Haynes service manual fails to recognise this proceedure.

^gotta use your finger to make sure it's tdc on compression, or you gotta pull the cam cover(which I guess would be off anyway to replace the cam position sensor) to make sure the valves are closed or you might be tdc on exhaust stroke. I've used that method dozens of times quite successfully. The finger just makes sure you are on compression stroke, you still have to line up the marks, or use the screwdriver, or use a piston stop and a degree wheel or something like that to find *exact* TDC.
