knock sensor delete????

hey does anyone know how to do this on a toyota??

ive found instuctions for maximas, they jsut jump a 470K ohm resistor in place of the resistor...

anyone know what resistor would work for toyotas???

Why the heck would you EVER want to delete the knock sensor? That's what allows your motor to make maximum power and not damage the motor with every cylinder firing...

If you want to make it less sensitive (still not recommended!!!), you can wrap the threads of the bolt that holds it to the block with a little teflon tape.

cause with an intake, ypipe and exhuast my car makes alot of noise and vibration... i believe my timing getting retarded for no reason and i always run premium fuel anyways so im not affraid of knocking.

just because ur running premium fuel does not exempt ur motor from experiencing knock....it was designed as a safe guard to protect your motor...if u want to eliminate that...well...thats ur decision......take ur chances......

If the 3MZ has 2 knock sensors (which I thingk it does), some of your options include relocating it to a quieter area or rewire at the ecu to "virtually" eliminate the problematic sensor. Here how at SG

I agree with the advice above though. Make sure you've tuned the engine properly before even considering such a mod.
