Homemade boost controller?

Anyone know how to make a manual boost controller? If you are would you be willing to share the plans and things I need to get? I need to put a boost controller on my Celica and wondering if I can make one instead of buy one.

Might be easier or cheaper to get this one.

If you make one, how do you know what the setting is? You'll need a pressure source to calibrate the controller.
I know how to build a electronic one but that probably cost more then buy one.

Cool

Lotta great stuff on autospeed. Gotta love the Auzzies... They get the same emissions shit we get from Japan, but they have a huge market for JDM imports.

Best of both worlds
