Water pump removal 1MZ Engine Being a newbie I am amazed to see how good this forum is. . I have 1MZ engine on my Siena I need to know : In order to put a new water pump: - Do I need to take out cam gears as instructed in Haynes manual From pictures of engine I dont think so I have to. I need some light and directions. I ill real appreciate. Thanks

Theres some holes on a backing plate that slide over mounting studs for the water pump. In order to remove the backing plate, the camgears need to be removed. __________________ "Skoolin' the unlearned!"
