USA What type of Turbo do i have?

I bought this Airesearch T3 on EBay. But like always, once they have your money it's a little difficult to get them to answer. I'm posting my Turbo below. Can anyone tell me any details regarding model, and capabilities of this .42/.48 turbo setup? Also, it has an integrated wastegate. Can it be eliminated and install a HKS or a Greddy Wastegate?

The wastegate is that thing it has at the bottom

Any links or information would be appreciated

Airesearch got gobbled up by garrett quite a few years back now, but any garrett dealer should be able to get information on it if you can take the measurements they need.

As to that wastegate, that is by far on of the most efficient internal designs available. I'd keep it if I were you.

Cool, but it can spool all the way to 10lbs. I don't want to explode my daliy drive engine. I just want a 6 to 7 lbs of boost. I run a Toyota 3SFE engine in a RAV4. Need control. Will a E-manage do the trick?

emanage should work, but I know nothing of using one on a rav4.

As to the capabilities of the turbo, it looks small, and 10 lbs should be no problem if it is large enough for the engine, but again, I don't know all the specs, so can't help you much there. AR numbers are only the start.

Regarding if ther Greddy E-manage will work on a RAV4.1 [RAV4.1 = 1996 to 2000] their is a gentlemen in RAV4OZ.com [DJ Sueno] who has successfully installed one and is in the process of fine tuning it. On which engine, it is a 3SFE, same one used on the Celica and the Camry.
