Do you mean relocating the stocker? If so, then its not worth it.

Aftermarket or another app, for sure.

If you mount the intercooler to the front you are going to have serious turbo lag, unless you run the piping directly through the cabin. Impractical. I suggest you mount one closer to the engine like under the trunk, inside the truck with a custom vent on the trunk lid or in the engine bay.
Border makes a large intercooler that mounts above the intake. Its pretty big too. With the proper heat shielding and air guidance it can perform well even under the hood.

it would help if u told us what kinda car u have. geez
but being that most toy's are crammed to all hell.
i know people that modify there bumpers to fit a front mount.
i knows it tight though.
and no they could keep there ac when they did this.
