I have a problem with my 4agze. When i drive it for a while and it gets hot it stalls and i have to wait for 5-15 minutes to get it started again. And the engine is perfect before it stalls. Can accelerate all normal to max rpm. The time before it stalls all depend how hard i drive it, but when its colder nothing is wrong. Could this because of to hot spark plugs? Air in coolant? i got the 4agze from a japanese levin and have around 200 hp what spark plug should i go with? Now i have BCPR6E-11.
heat wont kill spark, the negative electrode will just melt off and then the spark will jump from the center to the outside ring, or the center one will melt away, the Ford 300-6 was famous for this and it had huge plugs, OK you have DIS, that means each plug has its own coil, do this, get a known good old plug, gap it with a nickel and when the motor dies test all the coils for a nice loud blue or white spark, never dim yellow. The coils are fed voltage and the ecu grounds and ungrounds them according to firing order, the 2 end ones and the 2 middle ones might be paired, or they might all be seperated, test for 12 volts getting to them with key on engine off when it dies. A good test for proper heat range is after you run it, pop a plug and look for a lite tan insulator, a dark one means too cold and a brite white one may be too warm, but it will get you in the ballpark
I checked them and they are very bright white. And i checked with someone who know some more about this than me and he suggested to use DENSO IQ 24 wich are 2 grades colder than the plug i got and less gap. Do you think this could be the reason why it stops? Thanks for the help
aahhhh gap, OK the warmer a coil gets, the less spark voltage it will prduce and this will get bad enough that on the a series motors, just as the thermostat opens the motor will die if you stomp the gas, try closing the gaps on your plugs a little and see if you are going the right direction, in my years at Toyota when the AG and the SG motors were in production, I havent run across this problem being caused by the plugs heat range , try this also, pull the coils just off the plugs, but not enough to clear the tips, this will make a hotter spark for the plug to use, see if it tries to run that way

secondt wouldnt that have made changes too the car before it gets hot? cause i have no problem using the car in 15-30 minutes on very high rpms. But suddenly it stalls and i have to wait. and then it fires up with no problem again

If your return is blocked (kinked line), fuel remains in the line and you being at high RPM equates to extra heat. Any fuel trapped would have a chance to warm up. Thats why I am thinking that as one possiblility. A bubble could stop fuel flow.
Second possibilty. If your plug tips are white its going towards lean. If you really want an accurate plug reading, pull immediatedly after it dies. Why I think its that route is as you are accelerating harder, upping the engines demand for fuel, until either the pump or the filter cannot pass anymore and you get a vacuum, cutting fuel off pretty quick. So its a blocked or failing fuel pump and/or dirty fuel filter.
Either way, when the car cools off and the vacuum is relaxed when fuel starts flowing slowly back and back filling so you get to repeat.
Thats my spin. Post the solution, it's a learning process here.
But it stops sometimes when it idle too. Like if i wait in crossing it could just stop. But i will let you know. i just need to get the correct spark plugs first and check if it is that. Or i will come back and ask for more help
