Does anyone remember the V8 RAV4 I posted about a year ago. Well, here are the results. A TT Lexus V8 in a fiberglass body, swweeeeet. It entered the Paris to Dakar Rally. Lets hope for the best. The guys promist to drive safely WATCHOUT!
There is a site on the web with a video on a test run. It fly’s by at speed. Looks like a test run. The reason I post it is because this year [2005], it will run the Rally from Paris to Dakar. Last year, it went without the Twin turbo. This year they are letting it all hang out, including the FIRE. Let’s wish these dudes a lot of luck This is one of the most grueling races in the world. Hundreds have died in crashes. Also, the tribes in Africa charge money so the cars can pass their territory. If they don't pay, thier vehicles get attack by APG's. This is the real deal.
I bet some of the >800rwhp 4runners would eat that thing for breakfast lunch and dinner.
However it is nice to see a rav4 able to do the 1/4 mile in under 18s!
