Unhappy HELLLP!!! engine cuts out at 2100rpms

My engine (89 7mgte) cuts out ay 2100rpms and starts running again at 1400rpms hard to start takes 6-8 tries before starting.

Do a full tune up. Timing could be off.

timing is controlled by cam sensor. might want to check your cam position sensor and as userlain said....complete tune-up (plugs, wires, oil change, throttle body cleaning)


also, check the connection to your coil packs, might be loose due to time.

yes check eng.light is on I did the throttle body cleaning that is when problem started. have new platinum plugs just changed after prob.started

heLLLPP!! my eng.is cutting out

I noticed that when I unplug MAF the eng. revs to 2800rpms before cutting out to 1400rpms

Please check the induction tube most likely there is a split in the tube it's a intermittent problem

Ihave taken off all intercooling piping and other hoses and checked them for cracks and holes.didnt find any.

Ran code check and came up with o2 sensor code,AFM code and Intake Air Temp.code will try changing o2 and AFM (black box). B

do you need numbers #21 o2 sensor code, #24 Intake Air Temp,#31 Air flow meter signal. Is that what you wanted to know?

The car was cutting out at 2100rpms when I unpluged the AFM car started cutting out at 2800rpms.

wow, it sounds like a loose or disconnected cable. Or a blown ignitor and/or distributer. use a timing light
