Spent pretty much all weekend working on my car. On Saturday frostburner (from Genmay) came over and helped, on Sunday MazingHL (from HardForum) came over. Both were very knowledgable and helped me out ALOT. My girlfriend Stacy was there, she helped too, and made countless runs to PepBoys for us

. So far, we've pulled the old motor and have begun the process of transferring the manifolds and accessories to the new motor. I hope to have it done by next weekend. Once again, if anybody in the southern California area would be willing to help, I would be very grateful. Anyway, here are the pictures we took:

Stacy, doing some hardcore engine work there
I'm going to clean the cams off and display them in my house
Trying to pull the motor, but it wouldn't come apart from the transmission

Stacy in the engine bay. She had to stand on a battery to climb in because she's too short!
MazingHL reconnecting the flywheel (donor engine was from an automatic, judging by the flexplate).

This is what a spun oil bearing sounds like (WMV, 186K)
I drove the car from my house to the house we're using for the swap (I don't have a garage), about 7 miles with the car knocking like a motherfucker. About 1/2 block away from the garage, the motor goes CLUNK and siezes completely. I can't wait to drop the oil pan and view the carnage. The #4 spark plug tube was filled completely with oil, hm.
I'll update this thread as more gets done.
