Just trying to mount my transaxle on the engine stand.
Requires 4 good positions on the front of the trans to make it stable and secure.
Ive got 2 big bolts going thru holes at the top which will be bolted the other side.
Ive got an 8mm bolt at the bottom and want 1 more position to bolt it.
There is a threaded hole on on the right which won't accept 8mm or 5/16 (7.98mm) and when i measure it with vernier calipers its 8.5mm. What bolt will screw into it? 9mm could be..but i dnt even then they make a 9mm..any help?

That the bolt holding the bracket connecting to the engine block. Its same size as the one on engine block. M10 maybe?

Its a block of steel with 3 holes I think. 2 go to tranny and one go to engine block.

Not fully. Im trying to mount it on an engine stand, just trying to make sure it's nice and sturdy.
That way, it's easy to work on, because i can paint it, take some brackets off etc..clean it up really nice.

Measure the bolt you took out of it .....

I didnt take any bolt out of it. It's a reco trans that im going to swap for my auto. The bolt that i requires..is holding my auto in place atm!! so im not going to take it out.

As for the bench...no. I might aswell leave in on the trolley that its sitting on now. The engine stand is like a rotisserie, i can turn it ever which way, which makes for easier painting and fiddling.
