I hope some one out there can help. I bought a sweet, 94,V6 p/u that had been lowered. I got stock springs to replace the heated ones to raise it back up 2" for work. The spindles are stock so I thought that all I had to do is torque up the torsion bars to stock height. They're all the way up but I need another 1/2". Do you think I can achieve this by swapping the left with the right one or are thes T-bars maybe for a 4 cyl.? What size or prt. # should I have?
Thanx for any help,
Jas

hey jason, i am interested in lowering my truck using my torsion bars. i know this doesnt help you much, but i am just curious as to how the guy before you did this lowering. i havent found much info on lowering my '92 toyota truck using the torsion bar adjustment bolt, but i do know that earlier model chrysler cars (70's) that utilized torsion bars could be adjusted to change the stance of the vehicle as the owner desired. i have looked at my truck and cant find out any reason why i couldnt do it to mine to give it a minor drop, but i really dont know if it would damage it or not. anyway, any help you could give me on this would be appreciated. also, you mentioned something about heated torsion bars....what did you mean by that? thanks a lot from a fellow toyota owner.

Hi Green...I was told that the T/Bs may be reversed to get it low enough. That's why I can't get them up all the way...I think. My rear springs were heated...I think, to drop them 2". They look just like my new ones, with less arc. I bought stock springs and have the old ones for sale. I'm in S/W Oregon, if you want them for $100. Hope I helped and get help. As soon as you lower yours. Take it in for an alignment.

I guess I want to hear how to tell if the T/Bs were reversed. Maybe by some ID numbers or something. I'd hate to swap them and find it isn't the trick.
Any one!!!!!!
