I would like to know what you know, FROM EXPERIENCE, about body kits made of fiberglass. Some people have told me that they crack if a blow is taken to them, and that is not a good thing :
they are also 100% Wings West type...so, i'm just curious, is buying a kit like Erebuni a bad idea? or is it worth it..because they made a Veilside replica w/o the carbon fibers in it
well i guess anything will crack in the right circumstances. But fiberglass doesnt flex alot, so you're more on the risk zone. BTW both Urethane and Fiberglass bodykits do warp and sag after some time. PLUS I've heard that erebuni kits are s#it quality.
With fibreglas they are able to make
much better designed kits because its easier to make any kinds of shape they want.
They do cracks like crazy tho!
On my MR2 I have the fx designs front skirt. Since I installed the skirt I put almost 30,000 km. This last Sunday I removed the skirt and repaired the major chucks that were missing and all the cracks. This is the 9th time I had to do this. Luckily I work in a body shop so painting it doesn't cost a lot.

did i just hear you work in a body shop?
i knew there was a legit reason why EVERYTHING on your car is yellow...
think you can hook up a white spray job on an unmounted front bumper? or at least a quote?
it is totally oem, i can do prep, but primer and paint is a minor problem.

Andrew, If you don't want to prime or sand it, the big man at work would have to see it
because if it has a tone of chips and scratches, it could take a couple of hours
to get it all perfect looking. If you paint over that then it's gonna look even worse.
If, it needs a little prep work, I can take care of that on my spare time.
All that would be left is the painting.
If the cost of painting it would be to high, then we can get some Crappy Tire white Toyota paint and give it a blast.
Then buff and wax. it should look like a mirror in the end.
