Higher compression?

Hi,
If I want to get higher comression (more power & torque) from my old 4A-C I could get a thinner head gasket, but does a head gasket for the 4A-GE fit? I have also a 4A-FE. Will the head gasket for 4A-GE fit there? I know that there is not much to do to get more power from the 4A-FE engine.

4ac

I'd like to know how to get more power out of it also. Til I get all the stuff for the 3tc I'll have to bite my tongue. It seems that there are no "performance" parts fot the 4ac. One of my friends said that if I even asked about said parts for one people would laugh. Any amount of power increase would be a welcome sight. The only thing I have seen for one on ebay was a Targa exhaust and that was only for a 1983 model ONLY!!

Not bolt-on or cheap power for the 4A-FE. Custom make high CR piston (CAN$800) and regrind cams (CAN$700). Best way is turbo.
Do the basic intake exhaust unless you wanna spend a lot more.
It could be done but not economical.

Paradise Racing sells a power pack kit for the 4ac that supposedly brings the hp numbers up to 130-140 hp for under $800 USD. Not bad if you want to double the hp numbers of the 4ac engine.

I don't know what I'd call myself. I have an ae86 with a gze in it. Still looking for a mango so I can throw in a 3tc bottom end and a 2tg head in. First I need a job though.

3tc aint ready yet, I haven't bought anything for it as of now. I'm trying to get a hold of someone via a friend about a holley 4 bbl intake set up. I know for sure it comes with mani and hoses, I'm hoping that it comes with more (gasket, linkage, etc). It may be worth the wait seeing that sidedraft setup costs a pretty penny. I'm looking to get modest gains ( 25-30 hp) and throttle response, any bolt ons I can do without going into the engine.
I'm not looking to drift or race for now but if it isn't enough I guess I'll go for siderafts and bigger cam later.
20v setup is more than I want to spend time and moneywise.

That sounds interesting, then I may not need 3tc after all. Hopefully I could get that at a better price. I could use more acceleration for passing power and thrills. It is fun to drive and handles the curves well just needs more HP!

Called them and it's $600 reg price. includes sneider street/strip cam, weber 32/36 w/adaptor and double springs. It'll boost eng 45 hp according to them.

That sounds like a good price. The cost for shipping is not included, right?

Nope. Shipping shouldn't be to bad, probably no more than $30, but hey if they wanna sell stuff I think they should ship free. I'm sure the markup on those parts are pretty high just like anywhere else. Maybe we can do a group buy. If not enough for group buy on this maybe we can go for 3tc stuff which is more availble.
