turbo help

ok my bro has a 1st gen eagle talon turbo. he said hede give it to me if i fix it.....so heres the problem....

the balancer pully is stripped on the block so i basically need a new block or pully eliminator kit.

but thats too much money..i barely have money...so it is scarce...im thinking of just buying the N/A D.O.H.C and simply swap the turbo...i asked my bro if that will work and he said no the block will need some custom work..

if anyone has any idea on what will be necessary to get it working please help!!

and also can i simply swap the turbo....to a n/a engine without custome work?.....theye are the same thing except the turbo

you would probably have to use pistons that would lower compression to add a turbo.

yeah but i can take those frome the old block...all the internals are good..except the balancer pully..besides that everything is tip-top

the main thing that worrys me is custom work to the block cuz i can switch the manifold and everything else.

cool so you got internals. You might be able to locate a block running search of salvage yards on YAHOO. U Need parts.com(think this is the site) put in info. they will run search for you around the nation. you will get email from the salvage yards that can help you. I am also building on a shoe string budget. B

www.car-part.com i'd say get the 3sgte as a whole, mr2 turbo 90-95, or if you want to do a lot of custom work, do the 3sge and then get a manifold made to fit the turbo and some bigger injectors and a map sensor from a 3sgte and a better fuel pump, and you are set. intercooler optional.

that site, www.carparts.com is for new car parts from jcwhitney. its a general parts search engine like all of the general parts searches that JC Whitney subs out to random webpages... www.car-part.com is for used parts. Its a network of many junkyards around the US and canada organized to facilitate easy searching.
