VooDoo Science and MAgnecore Wires
Hi Guys-im a non-technical person who read with interest the differnt posts on "MAGNACORE" wires.I bought a set last year, and and they seem to be as good as the stock TOYOTA wires.Heres a summary from"PAECO" on wires-"there may be good reasons for for the car makers to use carbon resistor high tension wires(STOCK TOYOTA),but carbon resistor is not good enou for high performanc aplications. To start with,as the name implies, there is resistancebuilt into the wire. This deceases the voltage at the sprk plug gap.Second, the carbon filiment starts to burn out after about 10,000 miles(is THIS the main reason for buying wires like MAgnacore?),and the result is misfires, rough idle and poor performance...."our performance wires use CPE core(not cheap hypalon or carbon) with a jacketed outer sheath. They are good for over 50,000 miles....".... Look,Im beginning to think that as lng as you provide a clear path for the current to flow, like an extensin cord, then you might as well use the finst constructed wire availaible, irregardles of any claims of resistance or what have you. I have absolutely zero electrical eingenieering capabilities, yet i recognize that this is a VOOODOO science and no one ,not even the eingenieers, can make much sence of it!I gues i just bought as fairly well constructed electrical cable from MAGNACOR_nothing more, nothing less.
