I was wondering how much it would cost for me to put some 3/4 racing cams in my ae101 trueno? ive heard that this will speed it up more than a supercharger or turbo. would i need to make any other mods before i got new cams? forged pistons etc?

do u have any other mods in ur car at this time??? i mean ignition/headers/ intake/ exhaust sytem/ etc.?? just curious... im not too familiar with the ae101's engine im not even sure wat engine it uses.. maybe u can highlight these for me?? if u're using a 4age motor like the ae86's just do some minor things to it... just to let u know though cams dont = the same efficiency as taht of a turbo / supercharger that's just my opinion ...

what do you mena by 3/4 cams?

i suggest reading club4ag site on camshafts.

cams are generally rated by lift and duration.

for instance my HKS cams have a 10mm lift and 304 degrees of duration (meaning the duration of degrees the cam lobe hits the valve). These are considered aggresive cams as they will drastically increase hp on the topend but sacrifice the bottom end and overall streetablity.
