water = heavy but cools air more
air/air = light, but doesn't cool as much as water.

OK I now I know a bit more.

aaic = long piping for trunk mount, risk of getting heat soaked if its in the engine compartment. wieghts less than a awic, good for short runs.

awic = short piping (good throttle responce), wieght, more pieces (pump, heat exchanger, lines for plumbing ect.) you can add ice for drag racing

im sure theres plenty more to add to both of these.
in a mr2 it seems that it would be a toss up between the two for me. i do like the rawic idea but then again your adding wieght.
heres a link for a rawic thats in the beast. very nice car.

I figure,
who cares about the added weight of the water cooler,
just crank up the boost more to compensate for the weight.

water to air has proven to drop charged temp around 10 - 14 degrees more than the air to air......

you want to f*ck around with big boost, go with the water.....

Agreed,
Air/water units allow you to run aggressive cams / timing more safely since the intake charge will be lower than a similarly sized air/air unit. Spearco has some excellent air/water cores that can be fabbed up to fit almost anything.

Ok, Martin. The way you asked the question was very confusing! But I guess it's allot more simple than I though...

Also, i read that Air-2-water ICs have an almost 100% cooling efficiency, compared to around 70% for Air-2-air ICs.

latez.
