How long to add turbo?

I have a friend who has a is300. He just bought a turbo, all i know is that its a t4 and its very heavy.. He says a friend that has a shop that says it can be installed in a few hours... now i know ive been reading about other peoples turbo installs and i know its like a week to a few weeks. Think he can get it up and running in a few hours? All ive heard is that there are other parts being ordered and he dosent even know what everything is for and stuff.. and they are also adding an intercooler. so exhaust manafold, new intake pipping new exhausts.. can this be done in a day? please comment if it can be done.

I heard these are hard as hell to turbo because of the VVT-I.

I depends, if it's a custom kit then yeah it's going to take a little while. If it's a bolt-on kit and they have everything they need, then yeah, it could be done in less than a day.

Depends on how many people are working on it. I have seen a full engine swap and trans swap done on a honda in 3 hours. But they had 5 Pros doing it. If his friend has the whole shop working on it, then yeah, could be done in a few hours.
