Lightbulb NOS or TURBO

Ok gang, I know I get on here and hand out opinions every day and hopefully help out people trying to fix their cars but now I need some help I am building up a 3sge for my 88 GTS and have come to a Y in the road, eather way its going to have a serious bottom end to take a pounding. I cant seem to decide to turbo it to about 250 hp or NOS it to get the same thing. I am leaning twards the NOS because its less of a hassle to install and I want to get a kit that is adjustable and wont come on until i want it to, or a turbo, no bottle to worry about and once its installed, its pretty much worry free, then I can up the boost as i go and get bigger injectors, fuel rail and pumps and so on

i'd go turbo...but that's just a personal pref...like you said, they'll yield the same power output....maybe u can just go NOS while you're waiting to build up more internals for the turbo...just a thought.

I vote both, if you can.

Just use lower boost and a smaller shot of NOS.

That way you can compensate for any inefficiencies in your powerband (spool time, etc) with your nitrous.

That'd be your best bet, plus you can always upgrade both of them.

Seems like it would be easier to just get a 3sgte, no? Not sure if it is a direct swap on your car or not.... I don't even know what kind of car you are talking about actually. I would go turbo > n2o though.

well, it being a gts with an s motor makes it a celica, I have 3-3sge motors, 1 brand new. and I am building one of the other 2 up for eather NOS or a turbo, I dont have a big enough bag of money to use both systems and not real schooled on NOS prices or how much it is to get the bottle filled, but I am pretty sure that the turbo route is more expensive and will be fabricated for the most part, the new motor will probably wind up in my camry

yea seriously get the turbo i think its the faster way to hit 250hp. i read somewhere that 8psi from a turbo is equal to about 100 shots of NOS. i'm probaly wrong with those nnumbers. someone correct me on that

bowl, that would depend greatly on the turbo.

8psi on a ct-26 likely won't do as much as a 100 shot of nitrous would (NOS is a brand, not an abbreviation for nitrous...). Then again, you can run well over 8psi until the ct-26 starts to run out of steam...
