Yea man, I got a couple of dings on my windshiled recently and I dont know what its from...
but very recently I have noticed two crazks on the bottom right side of my front window... What would happen if I claimed from insurance, would I have to pay all these stupid fees and stuff? I also have a TRD sticker on my front windshield, what would be the best solution for this....
most of the time, you also pay the deductable... For chips, goto canadain tire and have the guy in the tent fill them in. I dont think they are that expensive and you cant tell a chip was there.

If you have no problem with feelings of guilt...have a 'friend' vandalize your windshield and then it will be covered under the theft and vandalism portion of your comprehensive coverage. This will then not affect your premiums. When someone stole my brand new car I got a $32,000 settlement and my premiums were unchanged. 8)
I think I remeber reading somewhere that some ins. co. actually allow some of thier customers one free windshield. I know this snds odd, but that's the very reason why it stood out in my memory. Try calling your ins. co.
Besides that, you can check out those glass chip repair shops (ie. Crap Tire, Apple). They place a vaccum over the affected area to suck out all the air and then shoot some epoxy in to fill the space. I wouldn't trust those DIY repair kits.
Before you do anything, call a few independent shops and ask if they have any *cough* "specials" on windshields.
My insurance gives me one free windshield a year. They don't advertise it but it's totally free, no deductable or premium. Go to a glass shop and tell them you want a new windshield but you're not sure if you're covered. They'll call your insurance for you, and if it's a approved, they'll take a hammer, smash a hole in your windshield, take a picture and basically claim it as a rock hit your winshield. You get a new windshield, the glass store makes $1000 and you're off!

:o i'm going to try that. Should I smash the window before i drive there or let them do it...
Haha, DEFINITELY let them smash it for you...and then they'll call your insurance for you as well. But be sure that your insurance company covers this!!!!
check around. some shops won't charge you the deductible... they'll replace the whole windshield... and charge the insurance company more and make profit on top.
not all shops do it. just gotta look around for someone who will. just ask if you have to pay the deductible.
Thanks henry and Rayray, I just go tmy front windshield replaced, and I also claimed for the sticker on my front windshield. I used the claimed money from the sticker and got the windows tinted for $100
Lifetime warantee too, no premium increase and no deductable paid
Thanks SOO much
