Question Quick Release Hubs / TRD Horn Buttons

I'm looking for a quick release hub for my MR2. I am also looking for a TRD /or/ TOMS /or/ Nardi /or/ Bride horn button.

Has anybody found a good seller on eBay for these parts? If so please let me know who, or where I can get these things!

Thanks in advance,
Brandon

Haha, right on... I was thinkin' the same thing...

To tell you the truth, I don't care if it's 'real,' I'd perfer a TRD horn button, but I don't feel like paying $50 for some ink-jet printed logo.

You know where I can get a fake 'TRD' Horn Button for cheap?

Are all Toyota hubs/boss'es the same?

Were you able to keep your cruise control (if you had it) on your Camry? If so, how?

I couldn't find anything on importparts.com regarding quick release hubs. What kind of quick release systems does Ben have access to? What kind do you have on your Camry?

Thanks agian dood,
Brandon

Brandon.... are you part of club MR2? In the last trip notes there was an article on installing and aftermarket wheel... and they kept the cruise control on. If you don't have it I can give you the cliff notes.

Hey Allen,

Thanks again for the info. I checked out SPW's site;

And only saw a listing for the 'SW20' under the non-air bag equiped vehicles.

"Non-Airbag
MR2 SW20 89-92 G-Type etc HKBOH-048"

So will the hub adaptor still work for a car that came originally with a car with an air bag (ie: mine)?

I'm assuming you have the SPW Hub Adapator and the SPW Quick Release.

Thanks again...

I'm still looking around then I'll give Ben/Dan a call.

Hell yes it is! Thanks again man, that was really cool of you to do that for me!

Well, I finally found and ordered all the parts that I need...

White TRD Horn Button: (Too damn much money for just a button; $37.36 Shipped!)

CNC Machined Aluminum Quick Release Hub (wrapped with real carbon fiber): ($75 Shipped.)

(Hopefully won't look too 'ricey!')

MOMO Adaptor Hub Part #: 7715 for 1991 MR2 Turbo:

(Picture does not match the actual hub I ordered.)

This is mainly why I chose the MOMO Hub, quoted from ShopMOMO.com:

"The MOMO steering wheel adapters use a unique design that incorporates a collapsible steel center section for added safety, attached to a splined aluminum base that matches the spline on your steering shaft. This is covered by a plastic bellows to give it a professional finished appearance."

Here is a link to their site and the specific hub I ordered:

http://www.shopmomo.com/7715.html

I ended up paying $64.91 including shipping. (Ordered through their eBay Store.)

And to think that I only paid like $50 for my friend to pick the steering wheel up for me in France at Super Autobacs makes me feel stupid.

Oh well...

Hope this info helps out anybody else thats looking for these parts for their MR2.

Thanks so much for the help guys... I'll post pics when I get the parts/install them!

Late,
Brandon

NRG quick release is a great setup. I'm using it on my Integra...no play in the wheel at all. I'm very happy w/it.
