What effects have people had when mixed seafoam in with there engine oil?
My personal expirence was having the sh*t scared out of me when my car went through 2 liters of oil in 1500 km then i changed the oil and left the filter and it *seems* fine still to soon to tell

I changed the oil AND filter after I put Seafoam in the oil to clean out the engine. It may have removed some sludge deposits that were sealing some worn gaskets that were already there. That may be why it seems that you went through all that oil all of a sudden.

how long are you suppose to leave that stuff in your oil? 500 miles before your next oil change?

you can leave it in there as long as it takes, it wont interfere with anything or damage anything

I'd be worried about putting some strange cleaning agent in with engineoils and drive around with that. My personal opinion is that seafoam is a scam, but feel free to disagree.

Well cleaning agents are already in your oil if you buy the syntheic ones. Maybe people would disagree with your seafoam thoughts. personal i used it thru a vaccum line. The car smoked and everything. But i didn't feel anything. A lot of people swear by it thats its all good. but its a possible cheap fix. $6 a bottle is always worth a try.
