1996 1mz-fe tps

i read something about the 22r engine if you move the tps back you can change the power band. i know what it is doing is just tricking the ecu to give the engine more fuel before it needs it thus setting your power band lower. well i did this to my 1mz-fe and my engine check light came on. well it did this before it did this and i didn't ever find what was setting it of. i dont have a obd2 checker. well it did it agian but not after a while after i did it so i want to know if this mod i just messing with it more. and the car does pickup a hell of a lot faster.

well on the side of the throtle body there is a sensor that checks where the throtle is at. well i set it so that when i have it half way open it thinks it is 3/4 open or something like that. well so it just changes you air to fule slightly. there is another that is a trade off that i havent done yet. it where you screw with the mass air flow sensor. well i also nottice that it kick me back in to the seats at round 3900~4100 instead of 5400~5600. well this would be a real nice mod for anyone with forced induction.
