Matrix + RAV4 = What?

Will a Matrix Gearbox fit a RAV4 3SFE engine? The gear ratios are as follow. RAV4 ratio are in bold letters.

Matrix........ RAV4 1997
1st 3.166:1... 3.833
2d 2.050:1... 1.913
3d 1.481:1... 1.258
4th 1.166:1... 0.981
5th 0.916:1... 0.775
6th 0.725:1... xxxxx

Final 4.529:1..... 4.933

As you can see, The RAV4 has a tall first gear. But that is about it. But still, when I'm on the freeway in my RAV4, fifth gear feels like truck.

Then again, will the RAV4 transaxle, work with the Matrix Gearbox?

They are definitely NOT compatible, unless you a TON of custom work (custom bell housing, axles, mounts, shifter cables, etc).

Heh. Actually a bigger number represents a Shorter Gear.

I know, but the RAV4 has a very high first gear. Wih turbo, it stays in the hole screaming tires. Then second gear comes I'm already behind.

a Celica gearbox from any 5SFE or 3SGE will work though.
