do these actually work to the full extent of what they really cost> i'm curious to find out. does anyone have any of these?

Not really. Not at low speeds. The Canards you see are all style. Splitters work, but you need your air dam and the splitter very low to the ground and ya gotta be moving fast.

If you're doing 130mph and feel the nose getting light. With a splitter you'd probably do 135mph max before the same thing started to happen.

most serious canards are really large and work at high speeds to reduce lift.
The one I have on my car in the pic is mostly there to trip over, I think.
I like the look though.

whats the difference between a splitter and canard? or is it the same thing, diff name.

windsplitters are the flat panel that is bolted under the airdam that stick out a little in front of the airdam.
These work effectively as they prevent air that is being pushed by the nose of the car from going under it.
The air will go over the car or around the side. These work well when used right. The splitter should be out far enough that they will redirect air at the speed they will be used at, and they should be low enough to the ground to redirect the most amount of air. Look at the Cadillac LMP or ferrari 333sp as examples.
