3-cylinder 93 Camry diagnosis

I'm looking for some help diagnosing my 93 Camry. It has the 4-cylinder engine, and has about 120 k miles on it.

Long story short, I'm trying to resurrect it after being off the road for a year (its my winter beater and I've been driving my summer car all year). I thought the timing belt may have skipped a cog, because the tensioner was weak and the engine instantaneously went from running fine to running like crap. Upon inspection, the timing belt was fine, and while I was in there I replaced the front seal. I also replaced the plugs, wire, distributor cap and rotor. Put it back together tonight, started it up, and it still runs like crap. Hmmm, I thought, its acting like it's running on three cylinders. Sure enough, when I removed the plug wire from the #3 cylinder there was no effect on how the engine ran. I wish I had tried this little test first.

Anyway, the #3 cylinder is getting plenty of spark, so I figure it must either be a dead injector or maybe it dropped a valve or something. I was thinking about doing a compression test tomorrow but I want to know if any of the experts in here have an idea what the problem is. I don't hear any bad mechanical noises when it's running that would indicate the piston is contacting the valves or anything, and I hope it's as simple as an injector.

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Mark

It very well could be that the injector is stuck shut. That a screwdriver and hold it to the body and listen to it. You should hear it operating. If it isn't, give the metal body a tap with something and it may start operating again. Just be careful and not break it.
Also check the electrical connector for corrosion.
