Question Big Bore Piston Question.

Hey all,

My question is, how hard are big bore (81.5-82.0mm) High compression clynders (10.5:1) to source? I am askingthis because i have possibly decided to scrap my past plans to twin charge my 20v and build it up as a N/A monster.

I have been able to find a workshop that will bore for $50 per cylinder and port & polish for $200... so it looks like i may go with this option if i can source the pistons. I have also been able to source 82.0mm rings for this aplication too.

My other Question, how hard are more agressive cams for the 20v to source?

Thanks in advance.

Scott.

4AG is normally 81mm bore x 77mm stroke.

Shouldn't be a problem getting higher compression overbore forgies for the 4AG 20V seeing as they are used in the clubmans etc.
Check out a few of the larger forged piston manufactures sites and I'm sure you find something (e.g. Ross, Venolia, Arias etc.)

Re camshafts I'm sure Toda do a few 20V cams and Wade cams will probably do a few if you give them a call.
