Insurance and Engine swaps

thinking about switching a 4A-GZE in place of a 7A-FE so about 50 - 60 more HP. Just wondering what to do about the insurance or what they will think???

Basically.... if you dont tell them about it.... you crash the car..... and they find out about it. You are SCREWED. If you want to do it legit.... call your insurance company and ask what you can do. California is pretty strict.... i'm not sure how canada is though.

a bit off topic but what happens if you swap the same engine in the car that was originaly in there say 7mge for a newer 7mge or 3vz for a 1mz

changing the motor to a good motor (same as original) is ok provided its not stolen or has the ID's scratched off.

I figured so with the swaps, sucks but thats life i guess, makes my discission easier on what to do....

Anything thing that you do and change power and/or handling don't seat well with insurance. Call your insurance to find out before you swap. Most will drop you even if you tell them. Only a few will let you keep it.
