USA How much boost?

Hey guys I have an opinion question. Currently I have been workin on increasing my boost pressure on my 91 MR2 turbo. To date i have installed an FCD to allow me to up my boost while still maintaining a failsafe on my motor. I also have upgraded my plugs to NGK 6097's which are a colder plug that the original and have lowered the gap from .0032 to .0028 to compensate for the motor temp increation. I have also done the basic aftermarket boost gauge. All after having done a thorough tune up. But now ive come to the question of how much boost to run. I've been told by people that to go with 15 psi because that's all that the stock ct26 can handle. But i've been told by others that the ct26 can power up to 20 psi. So what do you guys think i should run and feedback is a welcome with open arms. Thanks for your input.

what you wan't is the peak performance of the turbo not just making lots of boost thats more hot air than doing any good. i've seen people that run ct-9 turbos on 20 psi. i honestly don't know the answer to your question but i'm guessing your looking for peak volumetric effiency from your turbo keeping in mind tempeture issues as well.

Anything more than 15psi generally won't make any more power, so I would leave it there.

If you want a fan panel, check with Carl at www.speed-source.net
