Do they make a chip for 93 V6 Camry?

Hello. I have a 93 Camry SE 5 speed with the V6. Is there a chip upgrade that can be done to the ECU? If so, has anyone done this and how good were the results? Was it worth it? Also, if yes, where can I get one?

Thanks to all that respond.

-Andy

don't quite remember if somebody said that there was one available or not....but it's not worth it....there isn't much more performance that you can squeeze out of the engine without using forced induction of some sort.... :-?

somebody correct me if I'm wrong....

edit: oh, yeah....bastard...with a 5 speed.....grrrr......

uh i think there's something to the effect of jet performance or something like that .. i looked into it a while ago for my gen 4.5 camry and anyways i emailed them asking if their product would work with my model and they said yes, the only thing they ask you to go is finish modding your engine so that way the chip would be altered to maximize all your mods thereby increasing hp and some other stuff .. try www.nopi.com or search for it yourself and email them. kooz?

Jet Performance is b.s. Their known for swapping out ECU's.

All they do is put a sticker on top of your ECU and charge ya whatever they charge.

The 3VZ-FE has a distributor. Make sure you still use premium gas, so you can manually advance the timing a few degrees.

In normally-aspirated engines, chips mainly advance the timing, so you're forced to use premium to take advantage of the chip.
