Black, I forgot to tell you they are mean't for the 7M-GTE engine, they took them out and replaced them with the 7M-GE ones because they will be running an Vortech FMU and stock 7M-GE ECU, because it was cheaper to run the non-turbo ECU and FMU instead of buying the [proper turbo ECU... Lost yet? So will they fit?
I know of a couple people that used 7M injectors in turbocharged 5E-FE's. Apparently, they will fit physically. The problem is that they have a different electrical resisitance... But I don't know what they did to solve that problem.
Thanks for all the help, thats very quick!! Either way, I think they are too big for my application. As of lastnight, I started to lean out even more, so I have to test the both pumps, and see if I need to change my fuel filter. So many little things to loof for!!!
they may physically fit, I belive they're the same size as the 7mge ones, which should be the same size as 5mge ones, which should be the same size as 4age ones. From there you will have to continue that flow of logic as my 4a knowledge is limited. However, the 7mgte injectors are never used in an M engine NA setups as the resistence values it puts out are on a different scale, and thus the clips are different sizes. If this friend is going with a stand alone enginemanagement system then that shouldn't be problem. But if not he'd have to play with some resistors and really know his stuff to make the 7mgte injectors work. And yes I belive the 430cc/min spec is correct for them. Unless hes going really crazy though the 295cc 7mge injectors might be a better choice. Much easier to get working and probably adequete flow. The 5mgte and 6mgte guys who use them all run a little on the rich side with around the stock 7 pounds of boost. Most of them would love to find a set of 240cc/min injectors that drop right in (this exist in some jdm toyota engine, thus very hard to find).
damn, Aaron, you got good hook ups yo! :P Thanks for the help, I emailed vortech about the FMU to see if it needs to be reclaibrated after awhile, and I will change my fuel filter tonite. I really hope its the filter, and not the FMU or inline pump, cause that shiat cost bling bling.
