92 Tercel Side Mirror Removal

I am trying to repair the LH side mirror.. the whole assembly has to come out. Any suggestions on how to remove this mirror ?

Trust me, I can do things. I managed to remove the inner cover of a door because the manual lock got stuck.. and I saved myself $45 in labor and who knows in parts. Luckily I was careful.. I had to figure out how it works and I did it !!!

Please help. I hope I don't have to take the door out... there's got to be a better way to do this.. or maybe if I bought a brand new part, it will have intsructions maybe ?

Hmm....

I would suggest for you to go to Canadian tire and pick up a copy of the haynes car manuals for your car.

They show howto do complete tear downs of your whole car, and it's only like, 15CDN, and it'll come in really handy in the future too, and you won't have to worry about breaking something accidentally!

good luck with your mirror!

Lol...i'm probably the only other guy with a Tercel here.

Taking off the mirror is very easy...

Open the door, take off the triangular cover on the inside of the door. This should expose the 3 bolts holding the mirror on.

If not, a sledge hammer will do the trick quickly and efficiently. :o
