Water worries

Those of you in and around Toronto know just how much rain and hail we got today. Puddles as large as lakes stretching across 4 lanes of road and maybe 8 - 10 inches high.

I had to drive through quite a few of these puddles on my way home today. I pass MANY stalled cars stuck in these ponds and was feeling sorry for everyone with a CAI that decided to brave the waters.

I know the water was higher than the bottom of the doors of my echo since I can see where it's dirtier.

My question is should I be worried about water damage to anything? Wheel bearings, water into the differential, transmission, clutch/flywheel, etc.

my only advice from my relatives living up in canada is NOT TO DRIVE if you dont have to. Although your car hasnt stalled, which is good, some damage may occur. And u've probably done a good job of driving slowly and following a path of where cars were able to make it through before you. The water is probably dirty so maybe if u get home look around for anything that may have clung on and spray it off with a hose. Wouldt be bad idea to rinse of ur car anyways, cos oil etc can damge paint and what not.
