turbo celica GT

I have a 1990 celica GT that I was thinking of turboing. I was just curious if many of you have done it or know people that have, what mods they had, what power they made, and how reliable it was...

what kind of motor do you have - that will be a good starting place since i am not a celica guy, but if it is the 5s, there are lots of discussions on 5sfe turbos on the boards... when i know you engine, i can be of more assitance...

90-93 GT has 5SFE.
Do a search on 5SFTE (turbo 5SFE) and you will find a lot of info.

Manifold will fit 100% for sure. Oil pan will probably fit (but may not due to the balance shafts, etc.). If the oil pan doesnt fit, just get a bung welded on on the stock one instead.

i am pretty sure the oil pan does NOT fit... ask ufoz for certain, but i just had a bung tapped into my pan which does the trick just as well... just make sure you get it in the correct spot, oil does not like to travel upwards at all

Cool, thanks for that info. I was gonna buy an oil pan from a member on here, but I think I will jsut go on and have a bung put in... I had thought about doin that but I was just gonna go on and get the pan and all the lines and what not, but I think I will just go on and use my pan and make my own lines.
