Servicable or non servicable struts?

Ive got differing opinions all over the place, Some say sealed some say not. What are your guys opinion on this. Any part numbers or cross platform applications that i can use such as the 97+ camry struts?

Going by the year ('96) of the car, it should be sealed. Howwever, thre have been cases where that's not the case. Having said that, the hexegonal nut suggests it's a servicable strut.

disclaimer: don't sue me if I'm wrong. I've been known to be a complete idiot. If you're aprehensive, have a shop order them and drop the ball on their court if it's the wrong one.

yeah...that's the best thing to do....I've got a date with the shop this week for them to check mine before they order......they're iffy about ordering the wrong stuff too....

correct. and then cartridge comes right out. What are you gonna replace it with? Koni, KYB, Tokico? Let us know how it goes.
