3rd Generation spring coil friction

i recently bought a set of h&r's for my camry, and noticed that the top and bottom sets of coils have wear on the surfaces in between them, as if the coils were rubbing together. could this be a big enough problem that it would cause sagging or anything bad like that? what could i do (if anything) to help prevent further damage?

thx.

is this what yours look like? (please excuse the size)

if so that is how my intrax springs were - pretty sure it is just a common thing and no real problems result from it

its just the spring sitting on itself.. the powercoat is for potection from itself and rust.

some springs have an extra clear sleeving around them but that wears off pretty quick too.

edit: i had a look at my King Springs (a year old, maybe more) and the powercoat is still perfect (its bright yellow) :P

your stacking the spring coils up before the suspension stops hit, the coils are too close together

You need to get a taller bump stop to prevent your coils from bottoming out.
