HELP! Any ideas about mk4 Supra brake/ABS probelms!

Like the subject says. My girls 94 Supra non turbo has been giving her brake headaches for awhile now. Before her recent shop visit to get them to check it out, and from what she says, and from me test driving it....the abs light would come on and off randomly.....and when u would come to a normal stop at a light lets say, there would be crazy vibration in the brake pedal.....kinda like the ABS is functioning when it doesnt need to. **note-when the light would come on, the problem stopped....but once the light when out, it stared again.....

Now, she went to a shop (not my reference) to get it checked out, he replaced a part (friggin $300 part ONLY available from Japan) and he said it was fine after he drove it...of course she gets it back today, drives home and the problem is STILL there, vibration under normal braking.....BUT the ABS light is out. SO we are down to just having the brakes vibrating like a bitch when under normal braking conditions....I asked what part he replaced....of course she doesnt know...so I wil find this out 2morrow.

Any ideas??? Anything from master cylinder, to brake booster (if Supra has it), to ABS sensors....perhaps it just needs a brake bleeding, but i doubt this is the problem....and shoulda been done by the shop anyways....but wasnt.

Thoughts?

Ok, a couple of questions on the vibration

1) is the shudder speed dependent, in that it is more intense the faster you go, or is it even at all speeds. If it is speed sensitive, does it feel more like a wobble in the pedal and steering wheel at really slow speeds (sub 20 kph?), while just a violent shaking at higher speeds through both the pedal and wheel?

2) what part did the tech replace?

3) did they do a brake job at the same time as they replaced the part?

I'm suspecting you have a warped rotor if the ABS is working correctly now(odd...MK IV is not known for doing it, but it does happen to all cars from time to time).

Can you read and crossreference any stored codes in the ECU to see if the ABS is operating properly (I don't have a MK IV manual to check the code numbers)?

thanks man, itrs just a vibrating ... it is the same at any speed, regardless....and it does vibrate a bit even when holding it in first...
i know it is ok when the abs shuts off cause when i pulled the fuse, the problem went away! .....well i figured out is has to do wit ABS sensor....so now the shop she took it too will be examining the abs system.....i believe he replaced the abs ecu/sensor or whatever it is, but the problem still arose....so now they are tryin to figure out where it may be "shorting out" so to speak....hmm ? basuically it seems the abs is activating itself when it shouldnt be....

xenon....i did, eat me! :p
