After every few washes I use Griot's Rubber Cleaner on the tires to clean off the dirt and old tire gel, and then I apply Black Magic Titanium Tire Gel. It lasts 1-2 weeks. It will still shine even after washing my truck and wheels a few times.
Shiny black tires look great with a shiny black truck.
turtle wax tire shine.... like i am taking her to the prom every night...
p.s. i got jocked real hard by a dude in a new dakota today... man those are ugly trucks....
I use this also. If anyone knows of anything better, please post and let us know.
Thanks.
For off-the-shelf it's pretty good. And with any tire cleaner, agitating with a stiff brush will yield much better results than just spraying it on and off.
Griot's Garage Rubber Cleaner is my favorite tire cleaner, but you have to order it.
...but I gonna try that Black Magic Titanium Tire Gel....
Yeah, ya gotta try it. You can always return it if you don't like it.
It's pretty thick, so I like to apply it when there is still a few water drops on the tires, from washing the truck. It thins it out, and makes it go on a little smoother. But don't apply it to a totaly wet tire. Be sure to wipe it on both clockwise and counter-clockwise to get the gel into all the lines and letters on the tire.
When your truck and tires get dirty, just spray the tires off with water and gently wipe with an old rag. They should look all shiny again.
Depends on what mood i'm in, but i did find a sweet trick from the place i got my lift installed. If you have a black truck or something that shows dirt and spots really easy its a cool way to keep it clean. Use dot5 brake fluid, DO NOT USE DOT3 it will erode your paint, on a rag and rub it on your tires. It is silicone based and makes a dark clean shine. Not a real Armorall shine, but more of like a new tire. Its nice b/c there is not excess and it doesnt splatter down the side of your truck. Check out my truck on cardomain and thats what i used to shine up my tires. Plus it last a lot longer than regular tire shine and is cheaper!!! If you don't believe try using it on a lawnmower tire or your fourwheeler..i was skeptical at first until i did that..it works pretty nice!!!

I usually take it to the car wash, spray some wesley's on the tires and wash them with high pressure...works great...I hate squatting and scrubbing them by hand.

You can do things the easy way, or you can do things the right way.
