Don't use lots of chemicals. Just rent a good carpet cleaner. I bought a Bissel Little Green carpet cleaner. It's an inexpensive hot water extractor. You just mix a cleaning solution with water. The unit heats up the solution then you spray it on the carpet, aggitate, and let it soak for a few minutes. Then switch the unit to suction. You can see all the dirty water and funk being sucked out of the carpet. It works great. To dry the carpet you can just let it air dry for a day, or turn your engine on and put the floor heater on high for about 20 minutes.

Wouldn't blowing it with cool air be better than hot air to dry the carpets?

Hot air makes the water evaporate a lot faster. It doesn't hurt the carpets. Carpet is not like a cotton shirt that will shrink in the dryer.

Glad to have you as a member, Autopia. I detailed a Mercedes this weekend and used several of your products. The owner was surprised at how his abused car now looked like new again. I should have taken before/after pics.

Feel free to give advice and opinions in this forum.

BTW, do you have any special discount codes for us?
